Zacky’s Bill

The Zacky bill was introduced to CA state legislation in 2022 and was signed into law by Governor of California!

This legislation requires the California Department of Education (CDE) to create a resource guide for local education agencies to protect pupils with food allergies that lives on the Department of Education website. It provides guidelines on best practices and training of school staff, administrator and teacher on the understanding of food allergies, as well as recognizing of symptoms of and the proper response to food allergic reactions.
