The Zacky Bill

It all begins with an idea.

My name is Zacky Munoz and in 2022 I was able to initiate and pass a bill that improves the lives of over 1/2 million kids with food allergies in California schools- AB 2640, the Zacky Bill. The Zacky Bill shows resources that are available, what to do if you have a food allergy and ways to prevent anaphylaxis through a uniformed accessible way through the California department of education website.

It is important to kids who have food allergies because we rely on information, ingredient lists and our adults knowing what to do for us.  We ultimately just want to feel safe and included in school. This guide will help us food allergy kids a lot and will especially help our adults.  More importantly, AB 2640 shows that our school cares about us and wants to make us feel included.
